Scientists from nine European countries have worked together for four years to investigate the stability of the thermohaline circulation, a conveyer belt in the ocean that brings warm water from the tropics up to the North-Atlantic. If the circulation is influenced by global warming, this could have serious consequences for our climate in Europe.

This series of short films, commissioned by project leader University of Hamburg, brings the work, goals and results of the project NACLIM to a wider audience.

The project NACLIM is financed by the European Commission in the 7th Framework Programme of Research.
